The Health for Hope Launch: A New Era of Compassion and Coverage Begins at UNTH
On November 4, 2025, the UNTH Foundation proudly launched its flagship initiative—Health for Hope: One Year, One Life, One Chance—at the newly commissioned UNTH Boardroom in Ituku Ozalla, Enugu State. This landmark event marked a bold step toward transforming healthcare access for indigent patients battling chronic illnesses across Nigeria.
A Gathering of Visionaries and Changemakers
The launch was graced by an impressive lineup of dignitaries and healthcare leaders, including:
- Prof. Obinna Onodugo, Chief Medical Director of UNTH
- Mrs. Obi, Director of Administration
- Secretary of the Board of Trustees, UNTH Foundation

Impact in Action: 10 Lives Transformed
A highlight of the event was the award of one-year NHIA health insurance coverage to 10 deserving patients. These individuals, previously unable to afford consistent medical care, now have access to life-saving treatments and support through the Health for Hope program.
This initiative is designed to provide:
