📖 THE BALANCE OF BLOOD FLUIDITY: FROM BLEEDING TO CLOTTING IN HEALTH AND DISEASE
📅 TODAY, Thursday, 17th September 2026
🕐 1:00 p.m. WAT
📍 UNN Business School Auditorium, Enugu Campus
🩸 WHEN BLEEDING MEETS CLOTTING, BALANCE SUSTAINS LIFE.
Drawing on her extensive body of research and publications, Professor Nwagha explores the remarkable haemostatic equilibrium that keeps blood fluid enough to circulate, yet capable of clotting swiftly when bleeding threatens life.
Her lecture journeys from disorders of inadequate clotting—including haemophilia, von Willebrand disease and DIC—to the prevention and management of pathological thrombosis and Venous Thromboembolism. It further examines hypercoagulable states associated with pregnancy, cancer and uterine fibroids, bringing together scholarship, clinical insight and institutional experience.
At its heart is a vital message: restoring the balance of blood fluidity is fundamental to patient safety, survival and a stronger culture of care.
✨ Do not miss this compelling exploration of the delicate balance between bleeding and clotting—and its profound implications for patient safety and survival.
