Healing Beyond Medicine: A Monday Reflection from UNTH Foundation

At UNTH Foundation, we believe healing is more than prescriptions and procedures. It’s about restoring dignity, nurturing the spirit, and building a community where no one is left behind.
As we begin a new week, we’re reminded of the quiet power of compassion—and how even the smallest acts of support can transform lives.
A Story That Reflects Our Mission
Last week, a young woman, named Chika arrived at UNTH with a severe medical condition. She had no family nearby, no financial support, and no idea how she would afford treatment. Her case was referred to the Indigent Patients Office, and through the Foundation’s support, Chika received the care she needed—without delay.
She was not just treated medically. She was seen, heard, and embraced by a system that chose compassion over cost.
Today, Chika is recovering well, her feeding allowance has been reinstated too. Her story is one of many that remind us why we do what we do.
“Healing is not just medical—it’s emotional, spiritual, and communal.”— UNTH Foundation
How Support Has Made a Difference
Thanks to generous donors, ward adopters, and volunteers:
- About Three indigent patients have received full or partial medical support.
- A hospital ward and nurses quarter have been upgraded to restore dignity and comfort.
- Our outreach programs have reached a lot of families with health and hope.
Each contribution—whether it’s 1%, support, donation a prayer, or a shared post—has helped us move closer to a healthcare system that serves everyone.
